Allahabad High Court Recruitment 2026
Stage-I: Preliminary Examination (Objective Type)
- The Preliminary Exam will consist of multiple-choice questions (MCQs).
- Each correct answer will be awarded 1 mark.
- There will be no negative marking for incorrect answers.
- Unanswered questions will receive no marks.
- If any question is cancelled due to an error or technical issue, full marks for that question will be awarded to all candidates.
Stage-II: Main Examination (Descriptive Type)
The Main Examination will evaluate candidates on the following parameters:
Section A: Essay Writing (English)
- Constitutional accuracy and conceptual understanding
- Relevance to the topic
- Logical organization and coherence
- Language proficiency and expression
Section B: Precis Writing (English)
- Identification of key ideas
- Conciseness and proper reduction of content
- Grammar and language clarity
- Appropriate title selection
Section C: Translation
- English to Hindi Translation
- Hindi to English Translation
- Accuracy of meaning and terminology
- Grammar, sentence structure, and formal language
Section D: English Comprehension

Stage-III: Computer Knowledge Test
- 0.1 mark will be deducted for each mistake/error.
- Spelling mistakes and omitted words will be counted as full errors.
- Typing any extra letters, words, symbols, or content not included in the given passage will be treated as an error.
- Words typed beyond the prescribed limit will not be considered for evaluation.
- The evaluated answer sheet will indicate:
- Total number of errors committed
- Final marks awarded
- Error deduction rate: 1 Error = 0.1 Mark Deduction.
